Board President, Ashland Food Cooperative

Ed is a retired organization development consultant. As an Ashland Food Co-op board member, Ed brings experience in team building and leadership development. He co-authored the Team Leader Guide, a rich resource based on the Drexler Sibbet Team Performance Model.

During his working career he facilitated strategic planning processes for a wide variety of organizations. One of his favorite was for the Save-the-Redwoods League. Ed was invited to join the League’s board of directors to help implement their strategic plan. As a director, board vice president and president, he helped guide the implementation of that plan. Prior to becoming a consultant, Ed was responsible for the training and organization development processes at SRI International. He completed his undergraduate studies in physics at Rice University and graduate studies at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He and his wife, a Jungian analyst, have 4 sons.

Ed was elected to the Ashland Food Cooperative’s board in 2012. As chair of its Board Development Committee, he organized and facilitated the joint board / management team strategic planning process that is the subject of a CCMA session this year. He is serving his first year as board president.
