Carolee Colter has consulted for co-ops for over 30 years. In the process of conducting employee surveys, leading supervisor training and interviewing potential GM candidates for boards, she’s talked to hundreds of co-op staff who aspired to greater roles in their co-ops. She’s also encountered many situations of co-ops thrown into chaos by the sudden departure of key staff. This led to her developing a job-specific approach for succession and development planning.
