J. Faye Dixon

Faye Dixon is the Board Vice President of the Davis Food Co-op in Davis, CA. She has served on the Board since 2015, and prior to that was a Superworker volunteer at the co-op from 2007-2015. Faye also heads the Owner Engagement committee at the DFC where she works closely with the Marketing department to better reach member/owners. Faye has a special interest in child health (particularly mental health) and feels that co-ops can play a vital role in food sustainability and access to healthy options which helps to promote better brain development. She is a trained clinical psychologist and Associate Clinical Professor at UC Davis Mind Institute. She works as a researcher and clinician with children and families in the area of attention and impulsivity. Her additional duties involve facilitation in the School of Medicine Mentoring Academy where she leads faculty workshops on topics such as leadership, goal setting, and conflict management. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from American University in Washington, DC.
