Marketing Manager, Ashland Food Cooperative
As Marketing Manager at Ashland Food Co-op, Annie has spent the last 24 years educating the community about the true value and cost effectiveness of whole foods, the healthful benefits of proper diet and the importance of family farms. She uses the cooperative business model to co-create the urgent changes needed to build a better world. She inspired the formation of the cross sector advocacy group called Rogue Co-ops, comprised of Ashland and Medford Food Co-ops, Rogue Credit Union, Grange Co-op and Siskiyou Sustainable Co-op. She currently serves as President of Cooperative Grocers Network, as well as a member of the Howard Bowers Fund for Co-ops, NCG’s branding advisory committee, and the Oregon Organic Coalition. Before joining the co-op, Annie spent 15 years as a broadcast journalist and news director. Passionate and committed to the cause, Annie enthuses, “I live to serve my community locally, regionally and nationally.” Annie is a social artist who seeks to bring new ways of building human capacities for social transformation. She is a grandmother, a lucid dreamer and an avid knitter.
