Laura Miklowitz, now in her 18th year of service, is the longest serving Board Director at The Hendersonville Community Co-op. Over the years, she has served as Board Secretary, Vice President and President and became their first Board Facilitator in 2016. She describes her post as “part cruise director, part historian and part Border Collie” and has honed those skills by organizing HCC’s annual celebrations for nearly two decades, including their recent 35th anniversary festivities An owner since the store opened in an abandoned train station in 1984, she was instrumental in the design of the innovative new building in 2015. Laura was recognized for Cooperative Board Service at the 2018 CCMA and is honored to be part of her co-op’s past, present and future.
