Melinda has a well-rounded leadership background and a track record of success in guiding high-performing teams. With previous job experience in accounting, banking, team-building, and brand development, Melinda brings to the Co-op strengths in strategy, communication, and leadership. She has a unique ability to think abstractly and conceptualize creative solutions to achieve long-term goals.
Her wealth of skills makes her an excellent fit to helm the Co-op, and guide its leadership team into the future. Her Co-op experience began almost two decades ago, when she was hired as a cashier at the Moscow Food Co-op. After a stint as Manager of the Wellness department, she became General Manager in 2012. Melinda has enjoyed many opportunities to serve her community over the years, including her current service as the Board President for the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.
Melinda’s passion for leadership is only bested by her passion for justice. She is inspired each day by being able to work in an industry that makes the world a better place. When she’s not at work, her favorite ways to rest and recharge are by playing music and cooking delicious food with her three children.
