Missy has been in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years. After studying journalism at the University of St. Thomas, she made peace with the fact that the food industry was where she belonged – but sought a company that met her values. In 2008 she was hired to manage an organic café and catering company, Common Roots Cafe and Catering, which she managed as executive director until 2015.  Under her guidance, the business would go on to win numerous “Best Of” catering awards.  Missy is very passionate about customer service and in 2013 was recognized for her “Excellence in Customer Service” with an award from RSVP magazine.  Her current role is Director of Culinary Operations for Twin Cities Co-op Partners; overseeing the wholesale, catering, bakery, commissary kitchen and The Wedge Table.  She played a dual role for TCCP in 2017-2018, as project manager for consolidation Linden Hills Co-op.  Besides being an obsessed foodie, she is passionate about healthy food access and gender equality causes.  In her spare time you will find her chopping vegetables at Open Arms of Minnesota or mentoring at The Coven in Minneapolis.
