Mike Wenrick has been cooperating to positively impact people, planet, and communities for over 20 years as a non-profit leadership in food, agriculture, nutrition, public health, and education both domestically and internationally. He joined PCC Community Markets in 2023 as Director of Purpose. Supporting social, environmental, and economic health has been central to Mike’s work with coffee farmers in Honduras (Peace Corps), public health professionals and communities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean (Medical Teams International) and food justice leaders in the United States. Mike has had many touchpoints with our food system in his career including as Executive Director of Zenger Farm in Portland, leadership within the Oregon Community Food Systems Network, as a USDA Community Food Programs grant reviewer, with the New Haven Food Policy Network, as a farmers market vendor in New Haven and as the once owner and winemaker of Ore Winery in Portland, OR. Mike has a BA in Public Relations from Gonzaga University and an MA in Sustainable Development from the SIT Graduate Institute. Mike lives in Seattle with his spouse, Heather, and daughters Eleanor (12) and Madeleine (8). He enjoys playing outside with friends and family and has a lifelong dedication to perfecting the art of pizza making.
